Moths and Friends Original Watercolour

Watercolour and crayon on Arches Watercolour Paper

Sticking to the concept of moths, I have finally finished this work I had sketched 2 years ago. I have mainly used watercolour, and some neocolor 2's which are water soluble crayons. Paper is Arches hot press paper, 185gsm.

My favorite style of art has always been Surrealism and Psychedelic Art. For use of colour, I referred to one of my favorite artist Heinz Edelmann's use of watercolour/ink. He was the artist responsible for the film Yellow Submarine, which illustration style was forever engraved in my memory after watching it only once in my teens.
